Dating Vintage Lee Jeans

Hello! I am new to the forum and just recently started to seriously hunt and collect vintage denim and jeans. I have found a pair of Lee bell bottoms/flares that I truly love and wear often so I recently have been trying to find more vintage Lee Flares and Bellbottoms. I just recently ordered a pair advertised as NOS or Deadstock "Lee Wide-Riders" with original pocket tag intact. I have yet to receive them but have been obsessively trying to track down the exact era they are from. Due to the style and the VF logo on the bottom of the tag I imagine they are 1969+... But I have yet to see or find any information on "Lee Wide-Riders" and I struggle to find much information on Lee's in general or atleast compared to Levis.

I was just hoping maybe possibly someone may know more information on Lee jeans and products or could help point me in a direction.

Thanks!

I did not even think to reference trademarks etc, that's a brilliant way to date some products
It is a good way to determine the earliest a garment can be from and if the trademark is no longer active to figure out the latest but trademarks could have been live for decades so the actual garment style and construction, the presence of care or union labels is what allows us to date items accurately

Yes! That is extremely helpful in narrowing it down when applicable, I've already put the method to use on a many other pieces of clothing with much success. I can say my small but growing collection of 60s and 70s clothing are indeed genuine 60s and 70s clothing.

I still hunt for information related to Lee jeans as I truly love the look and fit of my vintage Lee's. I have quite a few vintage Levi's and can find quite a wealth of information regarding them but unfortunately it looks like Lee doesn't quite have the same following Levi has.

Thanks again for everyone's help!
