Did I do it? Actually photgraph the color red actually a red? Could you take a look?

Hi guys,
I think I have done it! I took a picture of red and it turned out red! Does not sound like much of a feat but I have quite a bit of trouble taking pictures of red! My first question is what kind of red do you see on your monitor? It is supposed to be a true lipstick red, my monitor shows it perfectly but I just want to make sure everyone else see this.
Also, upon looking at the label resource area this along with another perette label show as the 1950s, do we know which is older?

It's wonderful! A true red is reading on my monitor.

I'm not sure about the label. But I bet Sue knows. When she weighs in I can make sure the labels are ordered correctly.

oh good!!!!

No more posting pictures on my auctions explaining that it is a true red not orange or it is not a hot pink but a cherry red or other such things that I am sure drives my buyers batty!

Well,
Someone was talking about red on the members board a few weeks ago or so and suggested not using too much light.
So I just kind of went from there, I turned off all the lights (with just a bit of light coming from another room and turned off my flash and too the picture... it was quite dark of course but upon uploading it I went into my program and lightened it up to a certain point and it become a bit grey and dreary looking, then I upped the contrast in my program and the red came back, went back to lightening it a bit more then contrast a bit more. It does not seem to work by lightening it alot at once, I had to do it bit by bit......
Does that make sense?
I did it on a lilli ann red clutch coat and a red boucle and mink coat that I am listing tonight and I think it worked on those as well :)
If it had not been for someone (can't remember who it was) talking about turning off the flash ect it probebly would have taken me quite a bit more time to figure it out LOL

Gorgeous dress and great photos! So nice to see a non-black Suzy! Looks like Estee Lauder's All Day Parallel Red, one of my favorite red lipsticks of all time. I even had my vintage car painted that color. Brought the nearly empty tube to the auto body shop that did the work, gave it to the two burley bikers that ran it and told them "this is what I want." They were amused but made a perfect match.
