I'm about to start a doctorate on post-war European/Australian fashion manufacturing and cross-cultural influences. The Dior NY label is very relevant and I will be doing an object analysis of a 1950s Dior NY cocktail dress in my collection, as well as French haute couture and other garments.
So Claire, I'll have soon some information for you - what I can say so far is that the quality of the silk faille is superb, it's fully lined and hand-finished. It does have a union label. I'll be able to tell you more once I start work on it.
