Excuse the horrific photos.

These are just quickies to help me think.

Any tips on displaying this kimono. I have no idea on how to tie the obi. Or can i just tie it behind the back so no one sees that i don't know. 100% silk from Japan. It is actually the palest yellow, with a yellow border. you can sort of see the ywlloe border at the bottom of the last pic.

Thanks in advance for helping me think.

Chris, you might want to check komonos on Ebay. I think I have seen both arms pinned up to show fullness. The pics you have look good. That is just lovely.

Yes, you need to show the sleeves fully - I've used a long pole to do this, but if you can take your manni arms off and just pin the sleeves out, that would do the trick.
Your images look great, I wouldn't worry about the obi.

Yes, I've seen them displayed on walls and in auctions with a pole through the sleeves, then hung on the wall. That and your pictures would do very nicely to illustrate this.

It looks antique white on my monitor....try your color corrector, if you have one, and bump the yellow just a smidge.

Truth be told, this was taken in almost zero light and with the flash so i want to do "take two" in better light and full views. Its been a dark and stormy day.

I may show it on a pole or pinned out like you say as an alternate view. (and then take better photos!!).

If this was shorter i would keep it, but tripping over long fabric isn't very attractive!.

Jenn, its an odd color that is very much like antique white...but just a tiny ever so slight drop of yellow...where i always think antique white has a dollop of cream/beige i think i will take it outside to photo (when we are out of any rain situation of course!)
