Could anyone help me date this dress? I thought it might be 80s but there are no shoulder pads. Could it be late 70s? When did shoulder pads make their big re-introduction? Could it be early 80s? It's made with metallic threads. Clueless! Thanks!
The silhouette is very early '80s. Shoulder pads came in about umm, '83 I think so it could be before then. Shoulder pads weren't obligatory and took a little while to take over but I'd put this about '81-ish.
