Excellent NY Times article on Smith College's vintage collection

    A long time theater department professor recognized its importance, developed and catalogued it over time, and hopes the school will preserve and protect it.
    “For a women’s college to celebrate women’s clothing instead of somehow feeling it devalues the achievements of the college to study ordinary shmattes?” she said. “It would take some guts.”
