Fabric treatment question, please & thank you.

What do you call this sculptured effect on this fabric, please?

All I can think of is embossed & that is waaay off.
It's 100% silk.

I hope you can see what I'm asking about. Not the actual print, but the way the silk fabric has a 'carved' look in the background.

Would it be a Modern Damask?

It's not damask which is usually only two colors and is reversible. It might be a brocade which is a type of jacquard weave.

What does it look like from the back. I can't tell if the fabric is printed and then has the "sculpted" area or is a woven print. (If that makes sense.)

All of the fabric has this weave.

I can't get a pic of the back of the fabric as this is a lined tie.

Maybe this pic makes more sense? The light parts are actually raised. It's all very 3D-ish.

It's a printed jacquard, pretty commonly seen in vintage neckties. Here's a couple of other examples.

The tone-on-tone jaquard pattern is part of the weave and colored pattern is printed.
