Fabric Type Help

Hi!
Purchased a dress today. I did a burn test and it burns like cotton (wood smell soft black ash) but it has this crazy texture to it. It is super lightweight and feels almos papery. It needs a good bath but before I attempt I'd like a better idea. Thanks all!

The pattern appears embossed, and there may be a finish making the texture paper-like, perhaps also holding the emboss. Is it a bit glossy?
