Hi Everyone,

Well, it's been a fun, long and educational few weeks but I'm happy to say I will have five listings going up at around 6:00 pm Pacific this evening. My eBay name (that will be changed soon) is the same: seven****. If you have a chance to check them out and give me your honest opinion I would really appreciate it: especially when it comes to content - too much, not enough, too wordy.

I've posted this now because I have to go to work - you know that other kind of work...

Thanks
Deborah

PS - The hard-drive is out of place, but, but....

Deborah they look and sound great!! It looks very professional and clear. I think you've got just the right amount of information there (although I'm not the best to give advice as I waffle on for hours... why use one sentence when you can use ten is my motto!)

(and here's a link for anyone else that wants to look! http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZseven****QQhtZ-1QQfrppZ50QQfsopZ1QQfsooZ1QQrdZ0? )

Good luck with them - love the gloverall duffle.. great quality brand!

Harriet thank you so much for your comments and for putting up the link. I too waffled on for hours which is why there were only 5 listing instead of 10! But I'm hoping as time goes on the words will flow a little faster (I'm used to being given a script, not writing one) as I get better acquainted with fashion terminology et al.

Have a great day!

Deborah

Hi Deborah...i was just thinking.

Have you considered putting up an "About Me" page so folks who see your auctions can get a vibe about you? I know there are folks out there who as a rule won't bid on things from a seller with less than a certain number of feedback. making one so folks get to know a little bit about you or your vintage interest might help the folks that feel that way (because they don't know you) overcome that.

(it will also give you a nice short link like

I think your listings are absolutely succinct and fabulous...and I'm with Mia, the smoking jacket is SMOKIN'!

Truly, the hardest time in one's eBay selling career is the beginning, as you haven't won the trust of the bidders, but you've done a lot to look established. As Chris suggested, an About Me page would no doubt give potential buyers added confidence. Also, post sale, keep up the good work...I've noticed new sellers and buyers have more trouble keeping good feedback before they settle in. It looks to me like you have it down though...already!

Thanks everyone - you folks are truly the GREATEST! And I came home this morning and noticed I received my FIRST BID!!! Yeah!!! (okay, I've got to get a handle on explanation marks!).

Thanks for the suggestion on the "About Me" page, Chris - I didn't know it exsisted - will check it out today.

...oops, I meant exclamation. Where's that baguse when you need it.

Thanks, Chris!

Well, I sold two of the five items I had up for bid - YEAH for first vintage sales!!! I was surprised the smoking jacket didn't go and I will relist today as it's 10 cent listing day on eBay! I have a slew of white seamless stockings up now and more will launch this evening - 3 pairs for 6.99 N/R, shipping in and I've already had bids on two lots! And if the sun comes out today I may be able to photograph and get some of my corsets up by this evening.

Here's my link on ebay:

And my new name on eBay is: chezmov (mov being the acronym for the merchant of vintage - my eventual store name).
