Forgotten trends/fads

Hello all,
I am writing researching for an article about lesser known/ maybe even bizarre fashion trends or fads. I've looked everywhere online, but so far I can't exactly what I'm looking for. Can anyone recommend any sources? I am happy with anything and everything. Thank you!
 
LIFE magazine often highlighted odd trends. You can go through them online - I don't have a link but you can find one if you search for it. Every LIFE magazine has been scanned and you can go through them page by page. There are trends covered in that magazine with things like wearing two different shoes, keys as pendants, mohawk haircuts (the first time around in the 1950s)... that kind of thing. Is that what you are looking for?
