Thank you Jonathan for your information . There are no other labels in the purse except the one saying made in belgium. Im not sure if this one is pre war or not. I love having a piece of history.Beaded purses like these were made in various workshops in Belgium and France just after the war for export and I don't think I have ever seen any of them labelled with a maker's tag - they often have a store label and they weren't cheap, so you will find Saks, Bergdorf, Holt's etc. level labels in them. By the 1960s Hong Kong makes similar bags for less, putting the European makers out of business.
