    Maggie, I have no idea, or how much Burda's artists might have taken inspiration there. One also has to remember that they're German, not American :). Neue Mode did several patterns based on Princess Diana in the 90s and the illustrations clearly were of her, though they didn't say anything on the envelope. Not that they ever had anything to do with Burda - they were their biggest competition around here.
