I don't usually just love much from the late 60s forward, but I LOOOVE this Frank Usher dress.

Wow Steph this is very pretty!

Love the deep scoop neckline, love the fall colors, love the pattern :) The only thing I would have loved better is if this was floor length, but thats me, I'm just too picky :D

Are the diamond shapes on the sleeves applied or is it all print?

I've had several Frank Ushers from 60s and have always been impressed with the designs and the quality.

Steph, I love this and would've worn it in a heartbeat
as a teen.

Thanks, gals!

Kat, the coolest thing about it is that the pattern on the upper sleeves is actually a basket weave of the main dress fabric and teal-colored grosgrain ribbons. Sadly, one sleeve's ribbons are faded, but, ugh, it's too cute.

I can see you in this, Sue! Do I remember seeing a photo of you in a gown with a neckline like this?

I've had some great Frank Ushers - but I only buy them if they are 'hits'. It's not a collected label, as far as I know, but the really, really good ones sell very well. Generally the Ossie/Muir/Varon copies are worth buying. Someone described Usher as the British Victor Costa, which is a fair comparison.

This is nice to see as all I have seen of Frank Usher is the very conservative look.

I have a few garments of his which I wear to work and in my opinion he is best for his well cut suits of which I own. Very good quality and they seem to last and last...

I will have to hop over and see what labels I can add to the list and whether we have the Usher labels which I have...

Warble warble marbles in the mouth....That last sentence was such a mouthful!
