Those are a scream! Are they all real ads?

The Lysol one is especially twisted. I've got a Delineator from the 30s with an ad about women who use carbolic acid and bichloride of mercury for feminine hygiene. A good way to fry germs away, with your skin along with it! It's kind of disturbing that women back then felt they had to use dangerous chemicals in order to feel clean.

Love the one about the sanitized tapeworms. Just think, you could indulge in unlimited amounts of chocolate and pasta forever. All you have to do is get over your aversion to swallowing disgusting live squirming things. :barf:

Maybe that's where they got the idea for "Fear Factor"

These were forwarded to me as real--I believe they are. It's nice to know that everything wasn't better back then, just the clothes!

So, if I used the Lysol, eat lard, order up a tapeworm and blow smoke in a guy's face (being sure to stock up on prophylaxis) I should be irresistible, non? Single no more!!!!! :clapping:

Those are hilarious and ever so disturbing!!!

Found it! In an old issue of Modern Screen (like today's People or Us mags)
I think this is hilarious! I'd die (die-t) to have that gal's figure!
