Hi! I found this coat at a local thrift store. I sometimes see things that I try to resell in order to give a portion to a dog rescue group with which I volunteer. This coat is 48” long, soft and has silk lining. The side pockets are lined with velvet. There is no manufacture label or furier info. There is a name embroidered on the inside vest area, I assume it may be the original owner. I am trying to determine the type of fur this is? Could it be sable? I see a lot of silver in the light. I know mink is heavier than sable, but I don’t really have a mink coat to compare the weight. The trim around the collar is much fuller and goes all the way to the bottom of the coat. Any help on fur type and possibly age would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
