    Hi,
This fur coat was in my grandmother possession, unfortunately she never spoke of it before passing. My mum thinks it's mink but really neither of us know how to tell.

Can anybody help work out what it is and when it was likely to be made?

The branding is karter of scotland furs. It looks like a 1960s mink coat to me. Looks to be in beautiful condition.

Very nice. I agree that it's mink but with all things considered, the style of the collar, cut of the body, the lining, and even the fur itself I would say it's late 70s, most likely somewhere between 76-79.
