Get the Look: Bonnie and Clyde
In honor of Faye Dunaway’s birthday on January 14th, we pay tribute to her unforgettable landmark 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde.
The costumer for Bonnie and Clyde was Theadora Van Runkle, a self-taught costume designer who earned the first of her three Academy Award nominations for Bonnie and Clyde. Bonnie Parker’s beret, calf-length skirt and sweater, originally difficult for Ms. Van Runkle to persuade Ms. Dunaway was the right look for the part — sparked a fashion trend on the film’s release.
The VFG Trade Members will showcase 1930s fashions—and 30s-style retro fashions triggered by the movie—from head to toe, for men & women.
