Greetings! I am so grateful that I found your forum. I am hoping for some assistance in identifying a Gianfranco Ferre Sport jacket I recently acquired. From the information on your site I believe this is an older label. I have spent quite a few hours digging all over the internet. So far I have only found one jacket that is slightly similar but have not found anything exactly like this. I have not found any of his clothing that has an orange GF tag, only red. I also have not found any of his clothing with the letter, "F" on the front. It's a little hard to tell from the photos but the material does have a bit of a shimmer/shine to it. I greatly appreciate any information you can provide and thank you for giving me the opportunity to post in this forum! Colleen
Hello , GF Sport line was created in mid-90s (Wikipedia Italia says 1996) so I think this cannot be older than that. Hope this helps !
Thank you! That does help and I really appreciate the information. I am concerned about authenticity since I have not seen another GF clothing item with the "F" logo on the front.
I have no info about the F logo, but I can tell you that the line GF Sport was produced by the Italian company ITJ (owned by the Italian group Ittierre spa, based in Pettoranello di Molise - Isernia). So the label seems to be original.
