H Bar C Embroidery / Nudie

I know there is a specific name for the type of machine embroidery used by H Bar C in the 50s, and specifically on Nudie's garments.
I can not for the life of me remember what it's called. I want to say "Corelli," but that isn't correct.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks, y'all.

Chainstitching? - a Frenchman named Antoine Bonnaz invented the Cornely machine in 1865:

Probably you are thinking of chain-stitch, Leisa, though there are also fill stitches that resemble chenille and are called chenille stitching.
