Oh Jen, your mom looks as vibrant and full of life as my mom. They would have a good time together.
Mine Always has her Chicos clothing and jewelry on, even in the retirement home they now live in. The helpers call her Foxy Mama.

My mom was a war bride. My parents wedding picture September 1945 in Utrecht, Holland.

Almost a year to the day, in September of 1946 my mother sailed the RMS Queen Mary with many other Dutch war brides. Captain Illingworth took this photo and each woman was given a copy of the photo along with a signed post card of the ship that reads:

I send you my best wishes for your happiness and good fortune in your new life in the great Dominion, the country of your adoption.

My mom is to the right of the woman with her arm holding the ship.

I spent last week in NYC and just returned home last night. Here's a picture of my mother, father, me and my grandparents (on my father's side) taken in 1963!

My mother and father are 46 and 48 in this photo. They look pretty good! My grandparents were 74 and 79 at the time.

My Mom passed away at 72 - pretty young. My dad was 91; my grandfather was 87 and my grandmother 96!

I have some very fond memories of all of them. I have not had "Mom" for Mother's Day since 1989.
