I feel your pain. I had two tears in my right rotator cuff about ten years ago and had surgery. I've recovered so completely I just had to go check to see which side it was - I couldn't even remember! It is a painful recovery but honestly wasn't as bad as what I had been prepared for. The pain and disability leading up to it was terrible so I went from one form of inability with that right arm to another but at least knew it would be over. I play the flute and am on the computer a lot so those activities were hard to get back to as soon as I wanted to but it's now a distant memory. Best wishes for a quick recovery!
