Have You Sold Vintage to a Famous Person?

AMAZING...you all have some great credentials! I am in awe of you, (what else is new?), Jonathan. And Tracy is one of my all time FAVS and she does look smashing in that dress! And I adore Diana and am a long time fan of Elvis C, we listen to her on KJAZZ every day. This is WAY cool everyone.

My memory is not too good today, and I know there must be more, but...

The only thing I can very humbly add is I sold a grey, 1950's "riding" style hat with cage veiling to Dita Von Teese on Ebay about 2 years ago. I still have photos of the hat, but I have not tried to follow up to find a photo of her wearing it. Maybe I can Google and see if I can find that if I get round to it. She is not really (to me) on the same level as the others stars already mentioned though. But it was a great hat!

Oh yes...I once sold a huge box of 1920's men's coats and ladies hats and winter stuff for the movie "Road To Perdition", and I saw a few of them on secondary characters in the movie.

Anyway, what great fun to see everything, and these being worn by the actual stars...

Thank you to everyone. My blog post was put in limbo by grandma being admitted to hospital and mother in law falling and breaking her hand. When it rains it pours. Am working on it now. - Sold a very Gidget-looking pink ginham 2 piece 50s dress to Margaret Cho
- Sold a fringed Char purse to the woman from Chelsea Girl who said she was pulling specific items for the stylist for SATC, not sure if it made in onto the show because I've never seen it (I know!)
- Sold an unlabeled black 50s/60s dress to Mia Sara (Ferris Beuller's girlfriend)

Also have sold a few 40s dresses to Sherilynn Fenn (Twin Peaks fame)

A Hattie Carnegie gown and several other pieces of clothing & jewelry (& shoes, which I do have a pic of...sort of) to Rose McGowan when she was in my shop

Several pieces to Amy Smart when she was in w/ Rose

A tie, 50s jacket and women's hat (for his daughter) to Forest Whittaker

I keep watching for Rose to show up on the red carpet in the Hattie Carnegie gown but not yet!

not that famous, but l was impressed...Zadie Smith wore a couple of glitz brooches to the MOjo awards, no pics l can find but did watch her present live on tv...

Dermot O'leary's fiance bought a coat from me, and the founder of Agent Provocative bought a lizard Mappin and Webb handbag...

Hairspray show in the west end have a few of my handbags in the wardrobe....
will that do???

l like to think that vintage brings something special to the wearer better than Famous does!!!
