Hi all,
Is this a wedding hat or is there a better descriptor?
Is it a 'timeless' or does it tell it's age?
Thanks alot,
Lauren

Hi,

Your hat seems to be 1960s to early 1970s era. That was a popular style from the late 50s and through the 60s so yes, it shows its age IMO. But that style gets revived every so many years, and could look in style now too, although the materials used to make it look dated. I don't see this as falling into the category of a wedding hat, but it certainly may have been worn by a woman for a second or third wedding. I am a bit familiar with Helen Joyce, her best hats were made in the late 30's, 1940s and 1950s, and I have not seen this later label.
