I fount this skirt in my aunt clothes. She was giving them away. I think she has modified it by adding elastic in the back but she doesn't remember. Need help identifying it.
Thank you. Xx

That would not have been a simple modification, to add elastic and keep the pleats exactly spaced - if anything, maybe she added the rubberized rings that keep your shirt tucked in? But, those look original, too. The care label looks modern, with the red print. The style may be that late 90s - early aughts, when sporty miniskirts made a call back to the late 60s.

I've edited the last photo to show it the right way up. By zooming in, you can see that the 'elastic' is a series of shirred elastic thread that has been sewn over the top. That it goes over the Chloe label confirms it is an alteration to the original design.

One way you can help date this is by measuring it: the back waist will not sit flat due to the shirring but if you measure the front waist from side seam to side seam and double, you should know the original waist measurement. Sizing changes at times, and also differs for countries. For example a modern size 12 in the US is different to a modern size 12 in the UK. And both will be different to the sizes that were used in the '60, '70s, '80s and '90s.

If you're unsure how to convert, tell us the waist measurement and the country your aunt likely acquired it, and we can help. The labels do suggest this is a fairly modern gament.

The waist measures 70cm. She's been living in Greece for the past 20 years but she's visited Italy a lot of times which she thinks she got it (her memory is not good).
