Gidding-Jenny was a department store in Cincinnati. The manufacturer of the coat is Main Street. I think it might be early '60s and the sleeve may be a 3/4 sleeves - and the wearer wore long gloves. It's a fun find . I can't tell if there's a hood attached to the collar. (I could have used this coat today!)

I'm thinking about keeping it, it's so cute and light and comfy and soft and yes has a great little hood.

Given the proportions of the coat, and it's 'fullness/swing lines', I wonder if it was a full length sleeve but the owner had the sleeves taken up for her personal arm dimensions?

I just went back and looked up Main Street (duh I was searching Giddings....don't know what I was thinking) and found some sweet examples for sale and the sleeves on similar ones are full length.
