Help dating a Lilli Ann jacket

Hi,

I was wondering if you could help me date this Lilli Ann jacket? Going by the label, I originally thought it was 60s but now I'm wondering if it's earlier, 50s? It has a National Recovery Board label (see pic).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Teresa

While I agree that the suit jacket looks 1950s, those ads do look early 60s. The hair, makeup and hats are right in line with Jackie O.

But we could be looking at 1960 on the nose? call it a cusper or mad men. Anyone else?

still gorgeous and how amazing is it to have those vintage ads? You better get permission to use in your listing becuase this should ad to the appeal!

great find,,,, drooling.....

OHHHH I get the article... this is a 1960 ad. not early 60s but actually early in the year of 1960... so designed in '59 to be technical and produced/advertised in 1960.
I would just call it a 1959/1960 cusper.

If you want to know for aure, ask the author. Most likely she got these from a magazine and it is dated, but then again she could have gotten the pictures from somewhere else and guessed on dating.

I am inclined, based on her writing, to believe she has the ads.

That advert is so helpful! Thanks for finding it vertugarde!
I think it definitely confirms it as a 59/60 jacket. Thanks so much for all of your help!

Fabulous. Lilli Ann is one of my favorite designers. I always wanted to be named Lilli so that I am sure is a part of it.
