Help dating dress

Hi all,

Looking for help dating this dress. There are no labels with the exception of the paper tag. Metal zipper stamped Murlen. I thought 80s but the internal construction and the fabric of the lining are making me think it may be older. Are sheer accordion pleated butterfly sleeves specific to any period?

Also, is this rayon?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd say you have a 70s dressy dress, and the sleeve style would bolster that dating.
Looks to be in very nice condition.

The body of the dress is a crepe as far as I can see, but I don't know whether polyester or silk or rayon or what. It's hard to tell from a photo. Can you burn test?

A bit hard to be sure, via photos, but body appears to be a crepe, not sure if wool, or wool blend.
Sleeves are some type of poly chiffon, to hold the pleats.
Probably rayon acetate lining. My best guesses.
