    Hello All!

I recently purchased this lovely handmade orange-red dress/dressing gown. I believe it is vintage, but I am unfamiliar with the style and I am hoping for some help dating it and help to figure out what it was used for. It is very elegant with a button front, but it doesn't close all the way down and it splits like a dressing gown or jacket. The fabric is a brocade-like silk, and it is fully lined with a gauzy material. 3/4 sleeves with some interesting stitching in the elbows (shown in photos). It also has fabric sewn into the shoulders that were cut with pinking scissors, but they aren't shoulder pads.

    Thank you in advance!
