I bought this dress at a vintage store here in Dallas and have no idea where to start when it comes to putting a date on it. Thank you so much for your replies in advance!!

Hi, and thanks for posting! The brand "Issue New York" is a modern brand. Here is an example of their label in another modern dress

Regardless, your dress is really unique and has a 1960's vibe, wear it and enjoy it!

It seems to me those narrow "strip" labels are very modern. I don't know when they started showing up but anything I see with that kind of label has not been vintage IMO.

oh no!! I had a sneaking suspicion that was the case. I still love it but I would love if my local vintage store had vintage items:hysterical:
All that matters is that you love it! You also did great by buying second hand and giving it a second chance at life, vintage or not!

There isn't a lot of information about these fast fashion brands because their websites are vague and obscure as to where the items are designed and made. I actually think these have potential in future museum exhibitions - so I am beginning to acquire some examples of these designs. I don't think I have ever seen one worn in real life, so I am guessing they are for club wear, and maybe things like hen parties. Anyway, these types of crazy designs, poorly sewn party frocks are very early 21st century, and worth considering for collectors and future sales, when they become retro... IMHO.
