help dating Ralph Lauren Polo Riding (?) pants that have been altered

Hi Everyone, Someone has altered these and taken them in along the length of the trouser leg. Any sense of when these are from originally? 90s? Later? They are made in China but that 'vintage look' label is new to me.

Made in China to me is usually newer - within the last 20 years - but let's see if someone is familiar with these RL labels.
