Help dating Salvatore Ferragamo shoes

Hi,
I found a pair of beautiful patent leather Salvatore Ferragamo shoes with ankle strap, not sure of the size, US8 or 8.5 maybe (I am US8.5, UK6 EU39 and these are little bit tight but I find that to be the case with most Italian shoes, they run quite narrow). Anyway, they are in good condition so I thought they were recent but the ankle strap buckle is not something I've seen before and now I am not so sure. I'd appreciate any help with dating them.

The almond shaped toe, instep strap, triangular shaped stiletto heel. I don't think before 1979 and not after 1983

Hi Jonathan, that is older then I thought actually, I thought maybe 90s because they are in pretty good condition (probably worn once). Thank you for your reply, that was really helpful.

That buckle would lead me to think newer though...

That buckle is odd - I haven't seen a similar one, but I can't think of any revivals of this shoe style from the 90s or 00s.
