Help dating vintage dress

hello! I found this dress and am not completely sure of date. I know this is very old. Its a lined velvet and has an uneven bottom hem.
Any info would be appreciated

What a fabulous find! Yes, 1920s, maybe mid decade, and beautiful. If you show it hung up on a padded hanger or dress form, it might help define the year better.
