Help! Does anyone know what kind of pattern paper a fashion house would use in the 1940's?

Would it be plain brown paper? Or would they have a cross hatch/ dot and cross printed paper?

Any suggestions welcome!

I don't know about 1940s, but I have seen professional patterns from the early 60s in that heavy brown paper.

Hi Phoebe, the use of brown pattern card in the fashion industry has been around for a very long time- I would suggest brown craft card is what was used in the 40s.

I am sure that cross hatch/dot paper is a relatively new development.
