Help - I don\'t know my chapeaux!

Truly, my knowledge of hats is nil. This one is pink (silk?) chiffon 'petals', plastic (definitely plastic) leaves & a scattering of pearls. Great undulating shape. Looks like something to wear to Ascot, or the Henley Regatta - that sort of thing. But I don't have a clue as to era.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Carolyn

Carolyn...those look like holly leaves on the pink, which doesn't make one bit of sense!

I'm going to guess 60s, and I'm worse than you with
hats!

I have always loved your manny. Carolyn, those are wonderful pictures. You can see every detail! I have no idea on the date, but if they are plastic flowers, it probably is 60s. Very pretty..

Thanks so much for your help.

Oh, and news flash: the leaves aren't plastic - more like a coated fabric. Not sure how to describe them, but they're slightly less cheesy than they sound (& look?) -

:)

If it's any help, that style of hat was popular for Easter Sunday church wear among the more well-off rural ladies around '62-'63.

Bee that is a big help....especially since a lot of us are
totally clueless when dating hats.

Sue:)
