Hello and thank you for taking the time to help me.

Here is the information I have available:
  • likely purchased in the 1940s
  • label: Beth Lancaster
  • location: Long Beach, CA
  • previously a single hair was plucked and burned and it smelled of burning hair, not plastic
I do not know the type of interior construction and seaming, the fur type, etc.

I really appreciate any information you can share with me concerning this item as I am not a fur expert.

Thank you.

FYI, from a 1977 article about the Lancasters: "Sixty years of marriage caused a celebration honoring George and Beth Lancaster. Beth was the owner of Beth Lancaster Furs in Long Beach for 32 years...I remember as a youngster going to her shop with my mother. I was not particularly "into" furs at that age but Beth had the most magnificent aquariums filled with exotic fish I had ever seen...George and Beth gave up their Long Beach home a few years ago when they built the mobile home park where they now reside (Cherokee Mobile Gardens in Anaheim)."
