Help identifying a handbag brand/era

I thrifted this beautiful handbag and I have tried ever so hard to find the brand/era online but have failed :( Does anyone have any ideas or an expert eye as to what Era this may be from at all?

The writing on the buckle could be Leyva, a Spanish brand that make mainly belts. Their logo is different, but it's not inconceivable that they used to make bags and that their logo has changed. There website says they started in the 1960s. It may not be the same company though.
