Help identifying fur - is this racoon? coyote?

    Hi Everyone.
    I just purchased this coat and need help identifying the fur. The seller said it was beaver, but it is too coarse in my view for that to be true. The label is Austrian "Pelz Koll" and I believe it is circa 1980 or so. Any ideas are appreciated. Best, Nika

    Hi there, It is pieced coyote fur but it does resemble raccoon fur so I can see why you thought it was one of those two. From the way it's laying it appears to be late 70s.

    It's actually from Germany, not Austria - Kaiserslautern is in Germany.
