I found this beautiful, gold lined silk fur at a thrift shop the other day. I've been trying to identify it, but I'm possibly more confused than I was when I found it! At this point I'm leaning toward the fur being dyed, but I am still curious which animal it was originally from and the approximate age.
The scarf is made up of many small pieces of fur, hand stitched stitched together. There's no tag or label. I'm thinking it may have originally been attached to a coat. It feels pretty supple still, with only certain edges being stiff.
