Hello everyone I got this vintage Gianni Versace jacket at auction is from the mid 90s in great condition besides on small place in the back which i found a small spot which seems like a bit of fraying . I was wondering if this can be fixed? Or how can I avoid the small fraying getting bigger? I am not sure if is a fraying or moth bite but if I can get any recommendations such as sewing it or using an specific glue or anything to stop it from getting bigger I will appreciate it so much.
Thank you:hearteyes:

That could be a super-tiny moth nibble. I think I'd dry clean it (to remove anything that attracts further pest damage) and otherwise leave it alone. There are re-weavers that could make the tiny flaw invisible in this crepe texture depending where you are. Where I live, a small city of about a quarter million, there are no dependable re-weavers.

I haven't used Bo-Nash Fuse It Powder, but some here have (this was recommended by @bluevelvetvintage ) and it can fuse holes apparently.

Agree with Maggie: it appears to be a moth nibble. I concur about dry cleaning because you need to ensure there are no eggs or anything that might eat more.

It's a small hole, I would darn gently from the underside using spare threads from the pockets or seams or match the wool. It should be an easy fix.

In my city I use special kind of seamstress/tailor that only does tears and holes. Check if you have anyone like that in your area. I had a huge (1-2cm tear in a blazer and they did a magnificent job). Barely visible.
