Hi, My MIL volunteers at a thrift store and recently picked up a fur coat for me. I don't have it in hand yet, so I only have the initial picture she took of it. I've tried it on and it's crazy soft and fluffy feeling, not slick feeling (like fur and not like hair if that makes sense). I'm almost positive the coat is from a local Canadian store. the label has been removed, but the lining and stitch marks from the label matched another coat exactly and my MIL recognized that label as being local. The sleeves are very wide at the cuff, and the lining cinches in with elastic around the wrists. Does anyone know what type of fur this is and a rough date/era? my gut is saying '40s but I am unsure, this is my first fur.
