   Hi I'm looking at a pair of black 501 levis that are supposedly vintage. All the black 501's I've seen have black stitching but the ones I' looking at have gold stitching. I'm just wondering if that's normal and isn't indicative of a fake or anything. As you can tell I've never done this before so excuse me and my naivety.

   Could they blue jeans that were home dyed? If so you would expect some discoloration to the labels from the dye
