Help with belt dating

This is a silly thing, but I'm really unsure of the date of this belt. I would have thought it was 50s but the buckle doesn't look like any 50s buckle I've seen, too large and elaborate. It's a herringbone-weave fabric, very soft (feels like rayon, to me). No markings whatsoever anywhere on the belt or buckle.
