I have looked everywhere I can think of but I cannot make the top label out. All I can think of is maybe Ann something but still can't find anything even close. Was hoping maybe someone has encountered it before and I would be grateful for any help! I am guessing this jacket is from mid 70's to early 80's if that helps any.

Thank you in advance for any help!

I could swear somebody else posted that same label here recently for help. I am not sure we ever deciphered. I am betting Melanie might remember the post. I don't even know what to search under to find the post! :)

We didn't figure it out that time either! This was the thread with a garment by that milano label.

It didn't occur to me until now but the care label probably contained an RN or CA number that would identify the company that produced the garment, even if it wasn't the company carrying the brand label.

Does this jacket have a label with either RN or CA number on it?

In the meantime I will see if an Italian friend recognises the name.

Thank you for the replies. Mine does not have an RN#, just a small label in the lining that says 100% Silk. I've tried looking for every designer I could find that was associated with Elizabeth Arden and none were even remotely close. I will come back and post here if I ever figure it out.

At first I was thinking Anne and something with a Q, but now am also thinking that it could be Ann and something with a D - and that what we thought was the E in Anne might actually be the start of a D.

What is also throwing me is that if those are N's after the A, then it looks like there are N's after the Q or D or whatever it is, since they look exactly the same as the ones after the A. The I at the end of the last name has a dot over it, and what we think is an e in the last name has the line going across like a printed e so I don't think there are any other i's or e's.

If it is a Q then the next letter would have to be U which would mean the letter after the A might be a U also. It doesn't make sense any which way though.

Again, I do appreciate the effort. :)
