Help with this dress!

Hi! boys and girls!

I introduce myself, I am Manu and I have come looking for your help.

We found this dress, it looks like the tag has been torn off and we don't know if it may be an antique piece or a fake.

On the zipper you can read on the front: "M Valentino"

On the back you can read: "V"

Inside, on the fabric you can read: "... Scotland all wool x tartan ..."

I attach images so that you can see them and you will help me to know the history of this garment.

Hopefully someone can help you with the age of your dress. I don't think it's very old though, but hopefully someone can be more precise!

Well, there is THE Valentino as in Valentino Garavani, but there is also Mario Valentino (see https://vintagefashionguild.org/label-resource/valentino-mario/) who has nothing to do with the first and who is responsible for all the relatively inexpensive Valentino bags that seem to be flooding my local department store... Their logo is still the same according to their website, as on that second entry in our label resource.
Honestly I can't say who this dress may be by, maybe it's just another company/brand taking a popular name. Like Ruth said, we can't authenticate things here. It's certainly not antique, and the style reminds me sort of the mid-/late 90s. Think Clueless...
