Hen\'s night - time to go vintage & be a bit silly

Saturday was my cousin's hen's night. Everybody had to bring 10 roses, which we put on this cart, we "decorated" her a bit (thankfully that matched her dress!) and then we went about town, where she had to sell the roses to people in the street (that pretty much paid for the drinks we had later).

Yes, we looked very silly but it was loads of fun - and a long night! :hysterical:

The dress-code was "wear a hat" and we knew that she would wear a "flowery dress".

I thought I'd go vintage, in a dress that after all has already been to a happy wedding (and that almost to the day two years before):

The hat was just a cheap one that I decorated myself, and this time I wore the dress without a tulle petticoat (it was too hot). I discovered the remnants of an originally sewn-in tulle petticoat though, while ironing it. So I wore it just the right way the last time. :eureka: Mhh... maybe I should look at my vintage stuff more closely :lalala: - I only found the union label as well on Saturday morning!

No worries - the dress has survived the night :D. It's a bit too dressy for work, so I don't get too many opportunities to wear it, though I really like it (easy to care for too... can wash it myself :BAGUSE: ). Ah, the joys of vintage fashion! To most of the girls there, the idea of "vintage fashion" was new, but they were fascinated :D.
