Currently enjoying a resurgence in popularity, home-sewn fashions continue to be a cost effective option for women and men to create new additions to their wardrobe. First invented in the 1860s, the paper pattern gave people of all classes access to the latest fashion trends: all you needed was skill on the sewing machine, or an offer from a relative, friend or seamstress to measure you and do the custom work. Home sewing projects were often enthusiastically embarked upon for those occasional special events in the family such as a wedding or birth of a baby. Members proudly display all home sewing projects from their collections, from Women, Men and Children's garments to fashions for the home "made from scratch."

Think Dresses, Skirts, Pants, Suits, Sets or Ensembles, Fashion Accessories, Hats, Ribbons, Trims, Appliques, Beading Materials, Buttons, Buckles, Dress Fabrics, Lace Trim or Fabric . . . handmade Linens (Decorative Textiles, not Bed or Table Linens), Sewing Notions and Implements including Thimbles, Sewing Birds, Pincushions, Threads & Flosses, Draperies, Portieres, Tapestries, Fashion Rugs . . . and of course, the Sewing Patterns themselves.
