I was somewhat taken with this when I got it. But now I"m not sure why. Should I even bother?
It appears to be wool. It's a weave (yes?) in patterns of fluer de lis in blues & greys.
Odd buttons at neck and waist.
Tiered skirt.

I guess I'd have to put it in the upscale 70's boho market? The only tag reads 42 and "Dry Clean only" in French. Since this is nowhere NEAR a 42" bust, I'm assuming that the size is French, too.
Suggestions & comments greatly appreciated!

Hmmm...would the fleur de lys go in with the people who sort of like paisley but find it too common...or would it tie in the people that like the heraldry symbols?

i can see why you picked it up - i like it too, and i like that colour combination ..especially where it's clear in the close up. i could imagine it with some nice leather boots. yes, i think 'posh boho' is the way to go!

I can't see the pattern or texture very well on my screen, but would it be appropriate to call this a tapestry look, or tapestry weave, or tapestry print? (Even if it doesn't meet the true technical definition, and I don't really "get" the weft & warp of tapestry, it is woven and not printed on....)If so, I would stick that in the title somewhere....

I dont think the pose of the manni is doing the dress justice. would look great with a pair of stacked boots and knit scarf...

I agree, Chris -- I think my Manni looks like she threw her back out in this dress! Everything else she makes look fabulous.. but I guess you can't win them all!

maybe I'll try this one on my other manni.

Thanks for all the suggestions... I'll take some new pics and repost later! :D
