I messed up. Can you please help me date my Ted Lapidus summer ensemble?

I inherited this one in the early eighties and I would love to find out how old it really is.

I can see why you're struggling - the style is so classic it doesn't fit neatly into one era. Mid 70s? Bumping for more opinions.

Is it silk? I would say late 70s or very early 80s -- it seems like he was more obsessed with florals in 1975 to 1977 and his suiting cuts had been a tad different in 1977. A total guess without seeing it. Hopefully someone can pin-point it more.

Thank you so very much! I think it's silk but I'm not sure and unfortunatly I can't dechiffer the tag with washing instructions, it's all blurred.
