Thank youThe braided nylon laces are replacements, originally there would have been flat brown cotton laces. It's probably a moccasin construction, but I think they are playing on the loafer style, as in a weejun look. They aren't older than the mid 40s and they aren't newer than the late 60s -- probably middly 50s.
I agree but foot wear from the 60s onwards did introduce a numerical dating system.The last number might be, but probably isn't, the year. The codes in shoes are for manufacturing purposes and usually reflect the style, colour, size, production facility, sometimes the date, but that is usually of the week of the year, so defects can be traced to employees... but, they could be 1959.
