I Saved This Dress From Being A Tablecloth.

Linda -

Glad I could make you smile!

I also have a few different sized buckets that I use for soaking. Has anyone ever used Borax as a soaking agent? I've used it sparingly on occassion and it works decently in conjunction with a mild liquid detergent for soaking.

Can't wait to see the pics!

For those things that I am afraid to place in the washer.....

I use a small dishwashing pan that I got from Target.....

For larger items I use a baby's bathing tub that was my kids tub when they were little. I love it b/c it has the hole that I can leave open and rinse the items of all the soap.

A Baby Tub! What a great idea! And easy to fit right on the kitchen counter so I don't have to break my back bending over my bathtub, thanks so much for that idea.

I haven't got back to the dress. It rained yesterday. I have also been cleaning my son's room to make into my studio.:) He recently left for college and his basement bedroom is perfect for taking pictures. Boy, was it a mess! I spent two days wiping down the walls, pulling everything out, vaccuming, etc. Reminds me of that TV commercial where the couple are imagining what their son's room will be used for. Oh, his bed, etc. is still there...lol.

I do have a few mends to do on the dress before I photo. Nothing major..they were there before I washed..just a few tears in the lace which I should be able to mend by hand.

A baby bathtub!! I still have one!! Good idea!!
